Glenn Tilton has served as the Lead Independent Director of the board of directors for Phillips 66 since 2016. He also serves on the human resources and compensation, nominating and governance, public policy and sustainability and executive committees.
Tilton retired from his position as Chairman of the Midwest for JPMorgan Chase in 2014. Previously, Tilton was chairman and Chief Executive Officer of UAL Corporation, the parent company of United Airlines from 2002 to 2010. Tilton also spent more than 30 years in increasingly senior roles with Texaco, including serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He currently serves on the board of directors of AbbVie Inc. and previously served on the board of Abbott Laboratories.
Tilton attended the University of South Carolina, receiving his BA in international studies in 1970 and an honorary doctorate in 2012.
